Core Concepts

Before diving into parameters, understand these key concepts used by FundedEA Quantum:

  • Grid Trading: A strategy where orders are placed above or below a set price at predefined intervals, forming a grid. If the initial trade moves into loss, additional trades are opened at subsequent grid levels, often with increasing lot sizes. The goal is to close the entire basket of trades (the grid) in profit when price retraces sufficiently.

  • Hedging: Opening an opposite position (potentially on the same or a correlated pair) to mitigate losses when a trade or basket goes significantly into drawdown. This EA offers optional hedging features.

  • Risk Management: Essential tools to protect your capital, including maximum drawdown limits, daily profit/loss targets, and stop-loss mechanisms.

  • Position Sizing: Determining the appropriate volume (lot size) for trades based on fixed values or account equity/balance (Money Management).

  • Indicators: Technical analysis tools (like Moving Averages, CCI, Bollinger Bands, Stochastic, MACD) used to generate potential buy or sell signals for initiating trades.
